A little more about Amy …
Amy grew up in Tucson, Arizona before moving to California to attend Pomona College in Claremont. After graduating college, Amy worked at the ACLU and then attended Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. She practiced law until 2002 when she became a real estate broker. She worked in commercial real estate finance, residential mortgages, and escrow prior to transitioning into residential real estate sales in 2010.
A lifelong competitive swimmer, Amy met Daniel, who is also a swimmer, through their membership on a US Masters Swimming team, West Hollywood Aquatics, shortly after Daniel moved to L.A. in 2000. They became good friends but did not start working together till 2010 when they joined forces as Banchik + Dantzler.
When we decided to move back to LA from Seattle in 2021, we made only one call—Amy and Daniel. Mad housing market—they can do it. Pandemic, they can do it. Quick timeframe, they can do it. And they did. Somehow—with few houses available and bidding wars rampant—they found a house we love. In a neighborhood we had always wanted to live in. We are complicated clients. Our criteria shift and we cast a wide net, which generously can be called “creative.” Amy and Daniel get it, and coached us through it. They each bring valuable and unique perspectives, a lot of knowledge, and always plenty of humor. A 30-day close over the year-end holidays. Need we say...— Thomas Knittel & Erika Blacksher
Amy and Daniel were recommended to us by our closest friends, so we knew we were in for a fantastic experience from the start. First-time home-buying can be stressful and confusing, but they made the process pleasant and easy to understand. They always prepared us for the next step so that we never felt surprised, and they really listened to what qualities were essential to us versus what were nice-to-haves. Most importantly they were honest throughout, and kept us grounded in the reality of our goals. They aren't just agents, they're great friends whom we loved working with and would do so again in a heartbeat!— Brian Sakovitch & Parry Strain
Amy Dantzler and Daniel Banchik recently handled the sale of our parent's home in Beverly Hills. Their combination of real estate acumen and sensitivity meant the world to my family as we navigated the difficulties of selling a home that has been in our family for forty years. The phenomenal photographs they had done showcased the house in such a way that we had more than twenty offers over the asking price by the end of the first week. This was a huge undertaking made so much easier with the thoughtful guidance we received from Amy and Daniel along the way. I cannot recommend this team highly enough.— Amy Levinson
Amy Dantzler is an outstanding agent to work with. The breadth of her understanding and knowledge of the market, and her meticulous expertise of real estate was invaluable to me. Amy guided me through my first home purchase, in an extraordinarily challenging market. Her calm and solid demeanor kept me focused and on track for an ultimately successful experience. She steered me through each phase with ease. It was to a point that I felt as though I just needed to keep showing up, and the rest of this relatively intricate process took care of itself. I know it was not that easy, I am sure Amy was behind the scenes throughout, negotiating and coordinat...— Lisa Powell
We can’t thank Amy and Dan enough for helping us find our current home. We sold our last home and were looking to downsize thinking it would be a breeze to find a new place, to our surprise the market had shifted and in our price and target area there was zero inventory. It took several months and many frustrating moments but they were able to help us secure our home. We can’t thank them enough for helping us find the perfect home.— Michael Nutt & Yaniv Dabach
Daniel and Amy are a well-informed, well-educated and hardworking duo. They take pride in being responsive and empathetic to their clients’ needs and in their ability to creatively bring buyers and sellers together.
