A little more about Amy …
Amy grew up in Tucson, Arizona before moving to California to attend Pomona College in Claremont. After graduating college, Amy worked at the ACLU and then attended Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. She practiced law until 2002 when she became a real estate broker. She worked in commercial real estate finance, residential mortgages, and escrow prior to transitioning into residential real estate sales in 2010.
A lifelong competitive swimmer, Amy met Daniel, who is also a swimmer, through their membership on a US Masters Swimming team, West Hollywood Aquatics, shortly after Daniel moved to L.A. in 2000. They became good friends but did not start working together till 2010 when they joined forces as Banchik + Dantzler.
Amy is active in her Hollywood Hills community and is on her neighborhood association board. She is proud of having spearheaded the preservation of approximately 10 acres of wildlife corridor and parkland in the area. In her spare time, Amy continues to compete in the open water swimming and can often be found training in the ocean near Manhattan Beach, where she also owns a home.
